A semester abroad, kept mostly for the purpose of preventing my mother from phoning me every two minutes.
And for the homies.

Camden is our favorite market. It’s jam-packed with people, color, smells and treasures!

Londoners take such pride in their doors!

Today we took a tour of the Churchill Bunker and Westminster Abbey. The Abbey was spectacular. Tragically, we were’t allowed to take pictures inside, but it’s my favorite place that we’ve been so far. So beautiful. All sorts of interesting people are entombed there. Lots of royalty: Henry V, Queen Elizabeth, Mary Queen of Scots, but also Newton and Charles Darwin. There’s a whole section devoted to poets and authors, a few are actually buried there, but most are just monuments. I found Jane Austin and the Bronte sisters! We ended the day with a lovely walk though Saint James Park past Buckingham Palace.

Took another walk along the Thames River at sunset. It was cold but b-e-a-u-tiful!

Our first week in London has been spectacular! I’m not normally one keen on taking pictures, but I’m working hard to chronicle the trip. Here’s my first batch.

Spent the day in the markets around East London. Enjoyed the prolific street art. Here are some samples, more to come!

Spent my afternoon on a street just like this one. Life is good in London!

Spent a total of 18 hours in airports waiting for flights. Hopefully got all the disaster out of the way early.
